Thank you for helping feed our hungry
neighbors. We expect Scouting For Food to be one of the largest food drives in East
Texas. All food will go to the Salvation Army this year and will be used for
distribution to the needy. Brookshire's Grocery Chain contributed the bags for this
wonderful project...thank them when you get the chance.

Scouting
For Food bags are distributed to each residence in your assigned area. |
NOVEMBER
11 |
Food
is picked up sometime between 9 AM and 4 PM. It is counted/weighed and taken to the
designated turn in location. |
Experience has taught us some valuable lessons to make our drive successful and
easier:
- Attend your district kick off.
- Pick up your unit territory map and color code by den or patrol. This way
dens/patrols can pick up food on November 13 with the least amount of schedule conflicts
for the boys.
- Hang bag on most used door.
- Take food to the designated turn in location. Weigh the food or count
packages/containers and report unit totals to the community food drive chairman by 5PM,
November 13.
- Thank everyone.
SAFETY
- No riding in trailers or in the back of trucks.
- DO NOT GO INTO HOUSES!!!
- Use side walks.
- Watch for traffic.
